Some COW

I forgot to update for a while; been doing school-assignments mostly but here's my latest COW:

Made of the same fabric as the night sky, the Dream Guardian is watching vigilantly. Feeding on nightmares and terrors while keeping the slumbering people safe.

3D

More 3D. I made this based on a very simplified version of the turnaround I made earlier. It feels great being able to make something without tutorials and even though the results aren't that great yet it will come!

Turnaround for school

Assignment to create a character for a school project.

Gotland Game Jam 2010

This weekend me and a couple of friends attended Gotland Game Jam. (A Game Jam is an event where you are to create a game in a very short time, often following certain rules and trying to fit one or several pre-decided themes or achievments into the game.)

In no more than 42 hours my group created the game Hyper & Death Robot: Escape from Megastorm Asylum and our game was voted the highest score of all participants!

Our awesome team consisted of me and Jonathan Nilsson on graphics and Fredrik Nes Sjödin and Jerry Jonsson on programming. The restrictions was to only use colors from a color chart given at the start of the event and to only use sounds recorded from our own bodies. From the list of achievments to include we picked:

Aural Interface - Have all your graphical user interface feedback be sounds (no visuals)

Blessed is the mind too small for doubt - Make it part of your game to figure out how the game is lying about the games rules

The Level Of Awesomeness - Let the player be awesome in the game and be able to messure it

Here is some art (and do keep in mind the entire game is made from scratch in less than two days) and here is a link to the actual game. (The game is in Swedish though.)
