COW #195

The Gallagian grelmaga has an intricate system of bladders where it stores cool water from the surface, the water is then being pumped through its body by a secondary heart. This enables the grelmaga to keep its temperature at an even level when the creature is submerging in the geysers to feed. Their diet consist of a special type of algae that thrives in the hot boiling waters near the underwater geysers. Their huge snouts filled with teeth are used to fight off rivals and defend themself against enemies. The most spectacular thing about this species is that their young are bleak and colorless but after years of swimming in the hot geysers their skin becomes covered with a thick plaque of bacterias that will give them the most spectacular colors. Really old specimen are displaying insane patterns of colors. Fortunate for the grelmaga these bacterial coats will dry up and fall off when the animal no longer swims in the geysers, if it werent for that fact they would most likely be extinct due to trophy hunters.
