ChoW #210 WIP

Yes, you read right. Not COW but ChoW. Never tried it before but have to push my limits and try do humans aswell I suppose.

Here is the brief:
Yuki-Onna is a spirit in Japanese folklore and literally means "Snow Woman". With her extremely pale white skin she blends with the snowy environments, with only her bright red lips standing out against the white snow. Yuki-Onna is mysterious and beautiful, but also dangerous; She preys on victims to leech or freeze them, trapping them in icestorms or luring them around until they die of the cold. Some say Yuki-Onna is the spirit of a young woman who perished in the snow a long time ago.

COW 185

First piece I made with my new tablet, I'm pretty satisfied with the results! Concept is "Rusty Metal Eater".

We always belived that the rats and roaches would be the only species surviving a nuclear war.
We were wrong.
However there is not many scientists left among us and we do not have access to any research equipment so we simply dont know what species evolved into this. Atleast they arent touching non corroded materials so the shelter is safe. It seems like they are dependant on corrosion to feed, or maybe it's the rust itself they thrive on. We tried to hunt them for food, they are slow and easy to spot but our weapons wont penetrate their thick hides. Useless.

(Oh and I didn't use any referenses whatsoever, its all from my head)

all alone again

Boyfriend dickhead went to germany for almost two weeks som I'm left alone with everything again and not much time to draw so did some photo manipulation instead. Inspired by this.

Home sweet home and a big upgrade

Finally home again. Havent made a single picture in over three weeks and the first thing I do is getting a new tablet. Going from an old, small Bamboo to a brand new Intuos4 and everything feels so awkvard and strange. It's alot of practice to make it feel like mine...

Vacation

The reason I'm not updating is that I'm currently on vacation and I just cant find any time to paint atm, theres just too many old friends to meet in such a short amount of time.

COW 183 final

Funny thing. I wasnt happy at all with the rendering and some of the features of this weeks COW. I tried to change and fix it like 5 times a day always ending up dissapointed and scrapping the changes. So I decided to drop out. Did other stuffs, stopped trying to fix it. Deadline day I just decided to do this. I do not like to fail. So I started over from the lineart, chnaged it and did the entire rendering in one day. Turned out pretty ok aswell.

Agaminae Rosales is the largest member of the agamid family measuring up to 60 inches from nose to tail. Its natural habitat consists of dry forests and savannahs. They are carnivores and also eat carrion. Its most known feature is the loose folds of skin covering their long necks and that are used during courtship. The lizards are solitary animals but during fall they gather in thousands on the hillsides to mate, attracting biologists aswell as tourists to watch the stunning scene as it looks like the ground is completely cowered with living roses.

Accepted!

I'm accepted to the Game Design and Graphics programme on Gotland University!

Theres still some things I have to sort to be able to accept, mainly childcare for my daughter but it should be possible to solve, so for now I'm just happy!

I know I have a long way to go before I could work in the industry, still its a nice feeling to get accepted when the admission is based soley on work samples and theres like six times more people interested than theres spots.

So to celebrate - heres a happy guy! :)
